AIG Edward Chukwuka Egbuka, Rtd

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet of the Cadet Asp Course 15, 1988.
During the course of his service, he attended several courses including: Detective Course, Police Detective College, Enugu;
Combat Operations Course, Police Mobile Force (PMF), Gwoza, Bornu State;
Tactical Leadership and Command Course, Police Staff College, Jos;
Strategic Leadership and Command Course, Police Staff College, Jos.
AIG Edward Egbuka, Rtd served in various key positions in the NPF while in service including:
United Nations Civil Police Observer in Rwanda (1994 - 95);
Provost Marshall, Rivers State Command;
Dpo in several divisions in Rivers State command.
He was Area Commander, Langtang, Plateau State; Umuahia, Abia State; Idimu, Lagos State; Ogba, Lagos State;
Assistant Force Secretary, FHQ, Abuja;
Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge Operations at different times in Kogi and Osun States;
Deputy Commissioner of Police, CID, Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja;
Commissioner of Police, Operations, FHQ, Abuja;
Commissioner of Police, Communications, FHQ, Abuja;
Commissioner of Police, Plateau State; and Kogi State at different times.
He was promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police and deployed to Zone 14 of the Nigeria Police Force (comprising Kaduna and Katsina State Commands); from where he retired on 15 March, 2023, after thirty five years meritorious service. A recipient of many awards including Award for Excellence by Coalition of NGOs in Plateau State. He is married to his lovely wife, Eziokwu Egbuka, a former banker, now an entrepreneur, and they are blessed with four children. The retired AIG is presently involved in security consultancy, business and christian ministry.
